Nicola Sturgeon's advisers 'horror-struck' by Piers Morgan's naughty question

Nicola Sturgeon was left squirming on today's Good Morning Britain after being asked a 'naughty question'.

The red-faced First Minister of Scotland admitted her advisers were "horror-struck" by Piers Morgan's surprise comment at the end of the interview.

Ms Sturgeon had discussed Scotland's stance on Brexit , a possible future independence vote and who the SNP would back in the event of a hung Parliament after the general election .

So it came as a shock when outspoken Piers asked the SNP leader what the naughtiest thing she had ever done was.

Embarrassed Ms Sturgeon said: "You’re the last person on the face of the planet I would admit my naughtiest ever thing to so don’t even try."

Piers was like a dog with a bone and refused to give up on finding the answer.

Referencing Theresa May's confession, he said: "I can only imagine its slightly naughtier than running through a wheat field."

"I can confirm that, yes," replied Ms Sturgeon, who had Piers in fits of giggles.

The SNP leader added: "I have advisers off camera now who are looking absolutely horror-struck."

Ms Sturgeon, who admitted even her close aides did not know the truth, refused to give away anymore and said she would "take the fifth."

She had been left fearing a "trap opening up" after Piers asked if she believed in giving a straight answer and being open and honest.

This came after the pair clashed over the issue of a fresh Scottish independence referendum.

Piers claimed there was an "amusing irony" that Ms Sturgeon wanted independence for Scotland but wanted to stay in the European Union.

He also accused the SNP leader of being a "serial 100% loser on referendums".
