Scotland has recorded a fourth consecutive day with no new confirmed coronavirus deaths, figures released this afternoon have confirmed.
19 new cases of Covid-19 were identified in the country in the past 24 hours, which Nicola Sturgeon noted served as "a reminder that the virus hasn't gone away".
The First Minister tweeted: "Another day y’day with no registered deaths of people who had tested positive for COVID. 19 new cases though - 12 more than yesterday.
"We can expect to see daily variation - but as on Friday, these are being closely examined. And it’s a reminder that the virus hasn’t gone away."
A total of 300,858 people in Scotland have been tested through NHS Scotland labs and UK Government Labs to date, with 18,359 coming back as positive.
2,490 have died in Scotland to date from Covid-19.
330 were in hospital last night as midnight, three of whom were in intensive care plus three more people who were in intensive care with suspected Covid-19.
To date in the NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde area, 4884 people have tested positive for the virus, with 181 people in hospital last night with confirmed Covid-19.
Today's figures come after Ms Sturgeon said she will not shy away from taking a decision to impose quarantine restrictions on English visitors to Scotland.
