Nicola Sturgeon has been named one of the most influential women in the UK.
The First Minister appeared on the Vogue 25, which recognises the “women shaping 2021 and beyond.”
Sturgeon was praised by the fashion magazine for the SNP's recent success in the Holyrood election and driving the “growing” case for a second Scottish independence referendum.
The Scots leader featured on the list alongside the likes of Vivienne Westwood, Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle, FKA Twigs and Kate Winslet.
Speaking about the First Minister, the magazine wrote: “In May, the Scottish National Party, under the leadership of Nicola Sturgeon, claimed a historic fourth consecutive term at the Scottish Parliament election, with the highest vote share since devolution.
“Now, one seat shy of a majority, Sturgeon’s case for a second referendum on Scottish independence is growing ever harder for Boris Johnson to ignore.”
Sturgeon also featured in the global fashion magazine in December last year, when she was named as one of the top 12 woman leaders who changed the world in 2020.
The magazine named the SNP leader in the list alongside Scottish Labour’s Monica Lennon after Scotland became the first nation in the world to make sanitary products free.
It said that debates over the bill brought issues such as endometriosis and the “illuminating aspects of women’s health” to the forefront.
The Scots politicians appeared alongside US Vice President Kamala Harris and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
