Nicola Sturgeon lifts exercise limit and warns Boris new 'stay alert' slogan not welcome in Scotland

Scots can exercise more than once a day from tomorrow.

Nicola Sturgeon announced the change this afternoon during her daily briefing.

She also revealed the Scottish Government hopes to lift further restrictions next weekend, with garden centres and recycling depots potentially next in line for change.

Lone outdoor working is also being looked at, and she revealed she continues to work behind the scenes with construction and manufacturing industries on the best way forward.

However, she cautioned parents that there will be no return to school before June 1.

But Ms Sturgeon pointed out that all other restrictions remain in place, with the 'Stay Home' message still in force.

And the First Minister fired a shot at the UK Government over it's new 'Stay Alert' campaign, saying: "Do not deploy your 'Stay Alert' campaign in Scotland".

She emphasised the need for all four UK nations to work together to keep Covid-19 under control and lift the lockdown.

And she referenced only finding out about Westminster's new campaign from the media, adding: "We should not read of each other's plans in newspapers."

Fresh from a Cobra meeting earlier today, she did however welcome a proposal to introduce a quarantine for anyone arriving in the UK from abroad.
