Nicola Sturgeon has said she is cautiously optimistic about the state of the coronavirus in Glasgow.
The First Minister gave the upbeat assessment as calls were made to take the city out of level 3
Glasgow is the only council area in Scotland in level 3 due to covid infection levels.
Being in level 3 means that pubs and restaurants cannot serve alcohol indoors and meeting people in each other’s households is also banned.
Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar said this morning the Government must use "every means necessary" to get Glasgow out of lockdown and protect livelihoods.
At a media briefing, Sturgeon said: "I'm pleased to say that there is some signs for cautious optimism."
She said while the seven day average in case levels had increased, she said it was "important" to recognise public health efforts would take time.
She also said over the last two days there were signs of cases stabilising.
