Nicola Sturgeon covid update today - here’s when it's happening and how to watch it

The First Minister will deliver a covid update for Scotland today (Friday), the Scottish Government has confirmed.

The briefing will be held at 12.15, with Nicola Sturgeon joined by National Clinical Director Jason Leitch.

The FM tweeted this morning: “There will be a covid briefing at 12.15pm today, giving an update on today’s figured and overall trends, and a reminder of the key steps we all need to take - to get vaccinated, test regularly and follow the public health precautions.

"Tune in if you can.”

It's the second announcement of this week, following a covid statement to the Scottish Parliament on Tuesday, confirming that Glasgow would stay in Level 2 restrictions for longer than planned.
