From next week, the Scottish Government and the FM will return to a five day a week schedule made up of media updates, Scottish Parliament updates and First Minister's Questions.

Nicola Sturgeon will hold a briefing at 12.15pm from St Andrew's House in Edinburgh with the latest coronavirus figures and any lockdown, vaccine and travel restriction updates.

A further 2,039 cases of coronavirus were reported in Scotland on Wednesday.

The latest daily figures showed that 21,101 Covid tests were carried out on Tuesday (January 5), with the positivity rate sitting at 10.5 per cent

Hospital figures have also shown that 1,384 patients are currently being treated for Covid-19.

There are also 95 people in intensive care units across the country.

Sadly, the latest figures also reported a further 68 deaths in the 24 hours.
