Nicola Sturgeon has confirmed today, that it is "very unlikely" that any changes will be made to lockdown measures this week.
The UK and Scottish Government must review the current measures on Thursday 7 May, however, at her daily press conference, Nicola Sturgeon confirmed Scotland is "very unlikely" to make any changes.
The First Minister confirmed that this is because the transmission rate of the virus is still too high to safely relax any measures.
The First Minister said: "Although we are making real and significant progress and that is definitely the case.
"The numbers still being infected by the virus remain too high right to now make any meaningful change without risking the virus running quickly out of control again.
"Care home transmission continues to be a very significant challenge."
Nicola Sturgeon added: "It is very likely that on Thursday I will be asking you to stick with lockdown for a bit longer."
The First Minister said the Scottish Government is working towards "a degree of normality" by setting out more information on current levels of infection.
They are also working on announcing "possible changes" to be considered by the next review date.
