- Susanna Reid questioned Nicola Sturgeon on Good Morning Britain regarding her reaction to flags being displayed on streets in Scotland.
- The former Scottish National Party leader said she was surprised to see saltires on lampposts in Aberdeen and they were probably not being flown “to spread that sort of positive view of Scotland”.
- She said she remains a Scottish nationalist, but thinks people should focus less on flags as “flags don’t have personalities of their own”.
- Ms Sturgeon called for people to “calm down a little bit about flags”.
