No people have died from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, the Scottish Government has confirmed.
Nicola Sturgeon announced the latest figures for Scotland which also howed that 259 new cases had also been identified overnight.
The death toll since last March remains the same as yesterday at 7,614.
There are currently 196 people in hospital confirmed to have the virus with 21 being treated in intensive care.
The total number of positive cases since the pandemic hit stands at 220,493.
2,577,816 people have received their first vaccine, while 463,780 have received a second dose.
The figures come as Nicola Sturgeon has pledged a cash boost for carers in light of the pressure the pandemic has placed on them.
The First Minister made the announcement last night after labelling the UK benefits system ‘cruel’. The double payment of the Carers Allowance Supplement will be worth up to £460 to carers.
The news of the payment comes as Sturgeon said she has no plans to copy Boris Johnson’s idea of providing twice weekly coronavirus tests free to anyone regardless of whether they have symptoms.
The Prime Minister confirmed on Monday that lateral flow tests which can provide results in around 30 minutes will be available to people in England from Friday.
