The latest figures come as indoor visits between households in Scotland are banned across the country after Nicola Sturgeon announced a range of lockdown restrictions.

It's six months since the country was first put into lockdown in March.

Sturgeon also introduced at 10pm curfew for pubs, restaurants and bars, which will be enforced on today.

Cases across the country have increased over the last two weeks as different parts of the economy open up for the first time since late March when the pandemic hit the UK.

Dozens of prison escort officers have also been asked to self isolate after an outbreak there, it was revealed today.
