There were 49 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours in Scotland, the First Minister has announced today.
But there have now been no new deaths related to the killer virus since July.
The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases across the country now stands at 19,407.
Patients currently being treated in hospital with the deadly virus stands at 254 with three currently in intensive care.
The total number of Covid-19 deaths in Scotland remains at 2,491.
The latest figures come as coronavirus cases have been detected at Scots school and a chicken factory in Coupar Angus.
Scotland’s biggest teaching union is urging Nicola Sturgeon to do more to protect staff and pupils as infections start spreading to school children.
The EIS wrote directly to the First Minister with concerns the rules on gathering indoors are contradictory.
The union wants better guidance on face coverings, reduced class sizes and more physical distancing.
Renfrewshire Council said a case has been confirmed at Todholm Primary School in Paisley.
In Perthshire one pupil goes to Newhill Primary School in Blairgowrie while the other attends Oakbank Primary School in Perth.
Both are self-isolating at home with mild symptoms along with their immediate family members.
NHS Tayside, and Perth and Kinross Council said the schools will remain open and claimed there is no evidence to suggest there is any transmission of Covid-19 within either of the schools and the risk to staff and other pupils has been assessed as low by public health specialists.
