Nicola Sturgeon has confirmed that two people have died from coronavirus in the last 24 hours with 950 new cases identified overnight.
It means the death toll since last March – of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days – is 7, 690.
There are currently 128 people in hospital confirmed to have the virus with 12 being treated in intensive care.
The total number of positive cases since the pandemic hit stands at 251,911.
To date 3, 591, 638 people have received their first vaccination with 2, 535, 803 having a second jab.
The figures come as Scotland recorded another 1,317 new coronavirus cases on Thursday – the highest daily total since January 27.
According to Public Health Scotland's rolling seven-day infection rate per 100,000 population, Dundee City had the highest infection rate in the country, at 318.1, as of Wednesday.
The second-highest was South Ayrshire, with a rate of 253.1, while City of Edinburgh (207.5) had the third-highest rate.
