The number of cases reported overnight in Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health board is 53.

Some restrictions on people living Glasgow city, East Renfrewshire and West Dunbartonshire have been reimposed following a spike in the number of cases.

As a result more than 800,000 people will not be allowed to have anyone from another household in their home.

The measures are in place for two weeks, however the Scottish Government is expected to review them in a week.

The Scottish Government faced some backlash over the lockdown announcement as restaurants and  pubs  in these hot spots will remain open.

And a slaughterhouse in Moray has been linked to a new outbreak.

It comes after an outbreak at the 2 Sisters chicken factory in Coupar Angus.
