Good on you if you’ve been able to think about anything other than Brooklyn Beckham’s feud with his famous parents, David and Victoria, over the past 24 hours. The nepo baby set the internet ablaze on Tuesday when he dropped a blistering six-page Instagram statement confirming long-running rumours of the rift.
Since then, social media has been flooded with countless memes, spicy theories and urgent demands for someone to release the goddamn wedding dance footage already.
Several old posts and interviews have also resurfaced that either add additional context to Brooklyn’s claims (including Victoria’s iconic tweet that she’s “never met a dance floor [she] didn’t like”) or seemingly contradict the allegations.

What’s the truth about Nicola Peltz Beckham’s wedding dress?
Nicola Peltz Beckham’s 2022 interview with Vogue has done exactly that, casting doubt on Brooklyn’s claims that Victoria broke her promise to make a wedding dress for his wife “at the 11th hour”.
Brooklyn said in his statement that Nicola was “so excited” to wear one of Victoria’s designs, and she was forced to “urgently find a new dress”.
However, the actress and her then-stylist Leslie Fremar told Vogue days before the wedding that the custom Valentino Haute Couture she ended up wearing down the aisle was a long time in the making.
The publication wrote that the gown was “the culmination of a year’s worth of conversations with Valentino creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli’s team”, as well as two trips to Rome and two fittings in the US.
“It was the ultimate couture experience,” Leslie said, with Nicola adding that she had “never felt more special”.
Now, this definitely makes it look like Brooklyn was lying about Victoria trying to sabotage his wedding, but may I present a theory?
Nicola wore a total of three wedding dresses on her big day: her custom Valentino gown at the main ceremony, a bespoke three-piece Dior suit and a custom Versace dress for the reception.
Brooklyn didn’t specify what type of dress Victoria was making, so it very well could have been for the reception before Nicola had to pivot and change to Versace.
Another theory is that Brooklyn may have stretched the truth about Victoria pulling out “in the 11th hour”, and she cancelled making the gown early in the pair’s almost-two year engagement before Nicola went to Valentino.
Nicola actually told Grazia USA in 2022 that there were only “a few days” between when Victoria agreed to make the wedding dress and then said she could no longer do it.
“We connected to start designing the dress, and then a few days went by and I didn’t hear anything. Victoria called my mum and said her atelier couldn’t make it,” she said. “I was planning on wearing Victoria’s wedding dress and I was truly so excited to be able to wear a design that my future mother-in-law created.”
Basically, the whole thing is very messy and everyone involved needs to get in a room and hash it out ASAP. Oh, and film the whole thing for us to enjoy.
