Nicola Peltz's family 'accuse David and Victoria Beckham of being tight with money'

Nicola Peltz's family have apparently accused David and Victoria Beckham of being “tight” with money.

It’s the latest in the ongoing reported feud between the family, which has been making headlines since Brooklyn missed his father’s 50th birthday celebrations.

According to The Sun, Posh and Becks are concerned Nicola Peltz is the primary owner of their £11 million Hollywood mansion - and the Peltz family have reportedly accused the Beckhams of being “tight”.

It’s also been reported the pair have a pre-nup, allegedly made to protect the Peltz’s huge family fortune, with a source telling the paper David and Victoria are concerned Brooklyn is “trapped”.

But a source close to Brooklyn told The Standard it was a “deliberately cruel and baseless narrative aimed at undermining a strong, loving marriage”.

“It’s disappointing — and frankly absurd — that anyone would try to twist Nicola and Brooklyn’s marriage, and this meaningful milestone of home ownership, into something toxic.

“Their relationship is grounded in love, respect, and commitment. The suggestion that Brooklyn is ‘trapped’ isn’t just false — it’s a deliberately cruel and baseless narrative aimed at undermining a strong, loving marriage.”

“Money, so the saying goes, is the root of all evil,” a source told The Sun. “Certainly, in the case of the Beckhams vs Peltzes, it's proven... tricksy. “

“David and Victoria are two working-class kids done good. When it came to buying this house, of course they weren't just going to hand their son millions of pounds — what sort of message does that send?”

The paper report it’s believed the couple’s new abode was mostly paid for using Nicola’s trust fund money, with contributions from Brooklyn and Nicola’s work savings.

The source added the Peltz family “claim the Beckhams effectively cut off their kids financially when they turn 18.”

Another source has told the paper that “David and Victoria will always support Brooklyn if and when he needs it”.

"When he was setting up on his own, they would regularly help him out — as parents do — but they won’t spoil him,” they added. “They still help all their grown-up kids.”

The Standard has contacted representatives of Brooklyn, Nicola, Victoria and David for comment.

The Beckham family feud rumours have been ongoing for two months now, but eyebrows were raised even further last weekend when Brooklyn failed to post on social media to congratulate his father’s naming in the King’s birthday honours, with the former footballer officially becoming Sir David Beckham on Saturday.
