Nicola Peltz's texts revealed as her billionaire dad sues wedding planners

Nicola Peltz's text messages shown in court show the actress's second wedding planners resorted to drinking tequila after struggling with her RSVP list.

The actress who married Brooklyn Beckham in a lavish ceremony last year went through three event organisers after two couldn't meet the "scale" of what Nicola had hoped for.

Now, her dad, Nelson Peltz, is suing her second organisers Plan Design Events – claiming they failed to return a deposit of $159,000 after they were sacked.

In court documents obtained by The Mirror, Nelson, 80, claims that he and his wife Claudia engaged in a phone call with Nicole Braghin and Arianna Grijalba of Plan Design Events after Nicola's initial planner, Preston Bailey, stepped down.

The documents state that on February 23, 2022, the pair were requested to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement by Peltz as a preliminary step before more discussions.

On March 1, Peltz's legal team sent Nicole and Arianna revised proposals for the lavish event as well as the hefty sum of $159,000 as a deposit.

The court documents state that Nelson sent the deposit as he believed the sum would be refunded if the group could not come to an agreement with the proposals set out by the Peltz family.

According to Peltz, the Plan Design Events organisation simply had to deal with the RSVP list but he believes they "seriously misrepresented their skills and abilities and, in fact, lacked the necessary skills to perform".

In a bid to aid his case, Nelson shared screenshots of text messages sent between Nicola, Arianna and Nicole which saw Nicole say she needed to guzzle a tequila as her "head (was) about to explode."

"Yes queen!!!!!!" responded Nicola.

One text message saw Nicola say she was "tired of catching" mistakes made by Nicole and Arianna after they stated one guest responded to say he would be in attendance – despite speaking to Nicola on a private basis.

Arianna sent a text reading: "Then I pulled the wrong database. I'm a wedding planner not a tech lol. Give me a sec I will not let this defeat me."

To which Nicola responded: "I'm tired of catching mistakes on this RSVP list honestly."

Nicole and Arianna were later axed from the job, with the pair emailing Nelson and Claudia asking that in any comments about their exit, the Peltz family should comment on their efforts, work and good attitude.

On March 14, Nelson – via a representative asked for the pair to return the deposit but Plan Design Events failed to return the sum. At the time of publication, the deposit has not yet been returned.

11 days later, a legal representative for Peltz sent a "final demand" for the sum claiming they were responsible of "civil theft".

The letter stated that should the pair not return the amount by March 29, 2021, he would "pursue all available remedies" to brain the "misappropriated deposit, plus three times damages, attorney's fees and costs."

The case continues.

Clarification: A previous version of this article said that Ms Peltz's texts "lashed out" at her wedding planners and left them in tears. In fact, the text messages show that Ms Peltz had complained to her wedding planners about having to catch mistakes on the rsvp list and that the wedding planners had needed a tequila "because my head is about to explode". Court documents further reveal that it was the failure of the wedding planners and the magnitude of the project that had left one of the wedding planners in tears. We are happy to clarify the record.
