Nicola Peltz hints at 'tears she cried in 2022' amid Victoria Beckham 'feud'

Nicola Peltz has shared a mysterious message about the 'tears she cried in 2022' in a social media post.

The American actress tied the knot with Brooklyn Beckham, the eldest son of David and Victoria, earlier this year in a lavish, star-studded event.

Since then, Nicola, 27, and Brooklyn, 23, have posted loved up snaps on Instagram and have repeatedly denied the speculation there is a rift between their family.

Taking to Instagram to share the cryptic quote, Nicola wrote: "May the tears you cried in 2022 water the seeds you're planting in 2023."

It's unknown to what the Bates Motel actress is describing, but many fans believe she is hinting at the rumours surrounding her relationship with her mother-in-law.

Rumours started circulating earlier this year after Nicola didn't wear a Victoria Beckham wedding dress when she walked down the aisle, opting for a Valentino gown instead.

The billionaire heiress has since come out and confirmed the reason she didn't wear a design by Posh Spice was because the designer 'ghosted' her.

Nicola told Grazia USA : "I was truly so excited to be able to wear a design that my future mother-in-law created. We connected to start designing the dress, and then a few days went by and I didn't hear anything. Victoria called my mom and said her atelier couldn't make it."

Brooklyn said the feud is "rubbish" (Instagram)

Discussing the dress saga, a source told Daily Mail : "She was always just going to let her design something. But she was never going to put that on her."

"It's like when you have an in-law, and they say they make the best meatballs, you hate meatballs, but you let them cook it anyway. That's exactly what happened," the source continued. "She was never, ever going to wear it."

However, when speaking to the Sunday Times in October, Nicola denied there was a rift between her and her in laws.

"It's not a feud! I keep seeing everywhere that word, 'feud, feud, feud!' I don't know why they say feud? I mean, maybe they picked up on something? And now they're labelling it feud?"

She added: "No family is perfect! I don't pay attention to all of it… If I did, I would go crazy."

Meanwhile, Brooklyn appeared to echo Nicola's sentiments. He explained how everyone "gets along fine" in an interview with Bustle.

Referencing the alleged conflict, he added: "People love to write stuff, always love to write rubbish… And they write it because it goes everywhere and everyone talks about it."
