Nicola McLean appears to make subtle dig at Coleen Rooney during Good Morning Britain interview

Nicola McLean appeared to use her time on Monday's Good Morning Britain to make a subtle dig at Coleen Rooney.

The mother-of-two discussed the ongoing Wagatha Christie court case with presenters Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley in the ITV studio on Monday (May 16).

As reported by the Mirror, Nicola, 40, is good friends with Rebekah Vardy - who has been accused by Coleen of leaking stories about her to the press.

Speaking about the fact that people do sell stories, Nicola said: "I think it's common practice among the industry. So many people do it, the hypocrisy online of people I know who have sold stories..."

Referring to Rebekah and Coleen, Nicola continued: "I think they've both lost. And as I say, I'm not just here to be solely Team Becky, but I saw when Coleen put that status out on Twitter, Rebekah was pregnant and I saw the awful messages to her.

"And I saw how much she struggled mentally, she thought she was going to lose the baby at one point, I think that part of her pregnancy and the newborn stage, she lost, so she's lost already hasn't she.

"And Coleen's lost because she doesn't want her marriage dragged up again, who does? None of us do. So they're already losing but I understand why they want the truth," Nicola added.

Richard then said: "And how important are the outfits they wear? Because that draws such commentary, what they're wearing each day to court."

Nicole quickly replied: "Erm, I mean it shouldn't matter because there's such bigger problems going on with this case and with people that are involved in this case who shouldn't be involved in this case.

"But I'm enjoying watching Rebekah's outfits, I think she's nailing it!"

Susanna laughed and then asked her: "Is that a way of expressing which side you're on?"

"No, we all know that Rebekah and I are friends, we all know I am, but I have no problem with Coleen. Wayne's one of our best footballers ever, I'm a huge football fan. But I am liking Rebekah's outfits more," she said.
