Nicola Coughlan set to auction Derry Girls memorabilia to raise funds for charity

Derry Girls star Nicola Coughlan is set to auction some of the show's famous memorabilia in aid of charity.

The Galway actress - who plays Clare Devlin in the hit Channel 4 series - will raffle her own Derry Girls wrap jacket and Clare’s rainbow badge to raise funds for LauraLynn Hospice.

LauraLynn is a children’s hospice providing hospice and palliative care to children with life-limiting conditions and their families across Ireland.

Since opening in September 2011, LauraLynn Children’s Hospice has cared for hundreds of children and their families including parents, brothers, sisters, grandparents and wider family members. Care is provided free of charge to families.

It's not the first time that the Derry Girls star has auctioned an item for the hospice.

In 2019, Ms Coughlan auctioned off her famous pink dress she wore to the BAFTA awards in 2019.

Posting on Instagram on Wednesday night, Ms Coughlan said the money would be going to a "special place".

She wrote: "I’m raffling off my Derry Girls wrap jacket and Clare’s ACTUAL rainbow badge to raise funds for @lauralynnhospice.

"All funds raised from this raffle will go directly to LauraLynn Children’s Hospice to help provide vital care and support to children with life-limiting conditions and their families.

"[The] link is in my bio and stories please enter and share far and wide."
