Nicola Coughlan's Surprising Comparison Raises Eyebrows On Watch What Happens Live

Nicola Coughlan raises concerns about Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick's relationship.

Bridgerton‘s Nicola Coughlan recently shared a surprising reason why she no longer supports the idea of Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick's happily ever after. During an episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Coughlan expressed her hesitation towards the couple's relationship, mentioning that a friend had likened Broderick to the Unabomber, Ted Kaczynski.

For context, Ted Kaczynski was a notorious criminal who was arrested in 1996 for various charges related to explosives and violence. He was sentenced to life in prison and later died by suicide in June 2023.

Doute and Broderick's relationship has been a focal point on season 1 of The Valley. The couple met in June 2022, shortly after Doute's breakup with Alex Menache, but only made their relationship public later that year. Despite living in different states, they have discussed plans to start a family, with Broderick intending to spend the summer in the Valley with Doute to try for a baby.

However, concerns have been raised by others, including Doute's costar Jax Taylor, who expressed worries about having a child out of wedlock and the financial responsibilities that come with it. After filming concluded, Doute and Broderick revealed that they experienced a miscarriage due to a nonviable pregnancy. They have continued to update viewers on their journey to conceive.

The Valley airs on Bravo on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET and is available for streaming on Peacock the following day.
