Nicki Minaj has shared the first photograph of her newborn son, posting the picture on her wedding anniversary.
In July this year, Minaj announced that she was pregnant with her first child, writing on Instagram that she was “overflowing with excitement and gratitude”.
The rapper shared several pictures of herself cradling her baby bump, each featuring the musician wearing bejewelled ensembles and brightly coloured wigs.
Earlier this month, Minaj confirmed she had given birth to her first child with husband Kenneth Petty in September.
On 21 October, marking a year since she and Petty tied the knot, Minaj shared a picture on Instagram of her son’s foot, the first time she has posted a photograph of her newborn.
“Happy Anniversary, my love,” the 37-year-old wrote in the caption.
Several of Minaj’s celebrity peers commented on the post expressing their excitement over the baby’s first social media appearance.
“Congratssss,” wrote tennis star Serena Williams.
“THE LIL TOES,” added actor Skai Jackson.
Last week, Minaj shared a post on Instagram thanking several of her A-list friends for sending her well-wishes on the occasion of her son’s birth.
One of the pictures in the post featured a note from Beyoncé, which read: “Onika, welcome to motherhood. God bless you and your family. B.”
“Thank you to Queen B, Kim & Ye, Riccardo Tisci, Winnie, Karol and everyone who sent well wishes during this time. It meant the world to me,” Minaj said.
“I am so grateful & in love with my son. Madly in love. My favorite liddo boy in the whole wide world.”
