Nicki Minaj is getting a lot of attention for the new T-shirts she's selling, featuring a pair of breasts in the design.
But it's not the kind of attention one might expect.
This attention comes in the form of a lawsuit, which claims the hip-hop star has stolen an already existing breast-design for the T-shirt, according to TMZ.
The design in question is an inverted heart, placed on Minaj's shirts between the words "I" and "Nicki." So, you'd read it as "I heart Nicki" or "I love Nicki." The inverted heart is designed to look like two breasts in a red bikini top or bra.
The problem is, reportedly according to the lawsuit, is that the inverted heart (made to look like breasts) design was created by and belongs to an artist by the name of Isiah Simon.
Simon has been using the design on his "I Love Venice Beach" merchandise, according to TMZ.
Simon allegedly copyrighted the design three years ago _ on Valentine's Day 2015, believe it or not _ and his lawsuit claims that the hip-hop star and Universal Music Group "brazenly" stole the design, according to TMZ.
The "I (heart) Nicki" shirts can be purchased on Universal Music Group's website, but Simon reportedly wants sales to stop ASAP.
