Nicki Minaj cancels North American tour with Future

Nicki Minaj has cancelled her North American tour with Future

Events promoter Live Nation said in a statement: “Following her unforgettable VMA performance, Nicki Minaj has decided to reevaluate elements of production on the NickiHndrxx Tour. … [and] to contribute more time to rehearsal ahead of the tour’s launch to make certain her fans get the absolute best quality show that they deserve.”

The NickiHndrxx Tour was set to kick off 23 September, in Washington DC, with all North American dates now cancelled, set to be rescheduled for next May at a later date.

Future will not co-headline the new dates due to scheduling conflicts.

Minaj's tour will now start 21 February 2019 in Munich, Germany as planned; dates continue until 28 March, when the tour will reach Geneva, Switzerland.

The musician took to Twitter expand on the motivations behind the cancellation, stating that the two-month delay on releasing Queen hadn't left her with enough rehearsal time to deliver a satisfactory show for fans.

"[Creative director] Jamie King and I are working tirelessly to give you guys the best show of my life, and I really apologise, but it'll be worth it," she told fans in the video posted to her social media.

Live Nation is offering refunds to those who purchased tickets for the North American leg of The NickiHndrxx Tour.
