Nickelodeon star Drake Bell's wife 'files for divorce' one week after he went missing

Janet Von Schmeling has filed for divorce from her husband Drake Bell, according to legal documents.

The filing comes just one week after the former Nickelodeon star was found by police after being reported "missing and endangered".

Janet and Drake tied the knot back in 2018 in a private ceremony, but will now be divorcing after almost five years of marriage.

The pair separated back in September, according to new legal documents, with Janet citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split.

Janet is thought to have moved back to Florida with their young son following the relationship breakdown.

The couple share two-year-old son Wyatt Bell, with Janet seeking primary and physical custody of their child.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, Janet is asking for Drake to be granted visitation rights. She is also seeking spousal support.

The divorce filing comes a week after a 911 call revealed police officers were concerned for Drake and feared a "possible attempted suicide" as he was reported "missing and endangered".

The actor was declared missing last Thursday, but was since found "safe" by police.

In the 911 call, an officer from Orlando Police Department explained they were concerned for Drake and said: "I have a possible attempted suicide."

Asked to explain the situation by a second officer, they said: "Basically, there is a celebrity who had a falling out with his wife."

During the call, the officer said Drake had been in contact with his family to tell them he was in a hotel in Orlando.

Daytona Beach Police Department took to Facebook to share an update on the case as they confirmed they were in contact with Drake.

"At this time, we can confirm law enforcement officials are in contact and Mr. Bell is safe."

Following the incident, Drake took to Twitter to try and make light of the situation, writing: "You leave your phone in the car and don't answer for the night and this?"
