Nick Nairn and Dougie Vipond give fans taster of new The Great Food Guys series

Nick Nairn and Dougie Vipond gave fans a taster of their new series of hit food show The Great Food Guys by sharing some behind the scenes pictures.

The two presenters, who both live in Bridge of Allan, had been hoping to get back to the show following months of lockdown.

The food loving show, which attracted 1.4 million viewers in its first series, is on a mission to highlight the great range of food which is produced in Scotland.

It emphasises the fantastic variety of ingredients here on our doorstep.

Nick and Dougie are onto their third series and teamed up with impressionist Rory Bremner for one of the shows,.

Telly chef Nick told fans he was having an 'early nite' in order to be ready for the first show.

He also revealed the pictures from their filming session yesterday on his social media saying: "Great first day filming for s3.5 “the great food guys “ thanks @DougieVipond @rorybremner "

Rory said of his time on the show: "Loved this. Great guys, DELICIOUS food! Thank you so much all."

Rory's picture of what appeared to be huge shin of beef with gravy and tatties looked amazing.

Sky Sports broadcaster Eilidh Barbour has also taken part in the third series and said: "Great day filming for the new series of The Great Food Guys.

"I’ll let you decide which pair had the best chat and which were the tastiest. And if it helps with your decision, I didn’t actually taste @DougieVipond or @NickNairn."

Elidh posted a picture of some fresh lobster and one fan said: "Good to see you all supporting inshore Scottish shellfish fishermen.

"Sustainably caught Scottish shellfish is available fresh from the boats in most harbours & from reputable merchants and fishmongers in urban areas."
