Nick Jonas announces he’s hosting Billboard Music Awards

Nick Jonas is a “Sucker” for the Billboard Music Awards.

The Jonas Brothers member announced Friday that he’ll be hosting the May 23 show on NBC and joked that he’d already been honored with the first award.

“Truly an honor to have already received the first preemptive 2021 #BBMAs award,” Jonas, 28, tweeted. “Best host ever?! Wow!”

Jonas’ gig comes after three years in a row of Kelly Clarkson, the pop star’s fellow coach on “The Voice,” hosting the show.

It was announced in late March that Ariana Grande would be replacing Jonas on the music competition series.

Past hosts of the awards show include Phil Collins, LL Cool J and Ludacris.

New Jersey-raised Jonas and wife Priyanka Chopra Jonas took part in another awards show recently when they announced the nominations for this year’s Oscars, which took place this past Sunday.
