Nick Foles makes it official with Jags, will wear No. 7

The Jacksonville Jaguars officially announced the signing of Nick Foles after Wednesday’s league contract deadline, which means fans of the franchise can officially exhale. On top of his addition, it was also announced that he’ll wear a new number, which will be the No. 7.

Foles, 30, came to an agreement with the Jags on Monday afternoon, which marked the first day of the league’s legal tampering period. The deal was a four-year contract worth $88 million ($102 million with incentives) and $50.125 million in guarantees. Per Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, it’s a deal that will pay the veteran $46.625 million in the first two years.

Of course, his last tenure with the Philadelphia Eagles is the one that shot him into stardom as he led the team to four preseason victories in 2017 (including Super Bowl LII in which he was named the MVP) and another preseason victory this past season against the Chicago Bears.

As for his career numbers, Foles will enter his tenure with a total of 11,165 passing yards, 68 touchdowns and 33 interceptions to his name.
