The contract details for former Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles’ new deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars have been released. After the Philadelphia Eagles elected not to place a franchise tag on their prized backup quarterback, the Jaguars snatched up the free agent on the first day of the tampering period.
With Foles now in Jacksonville, the team will part ways with former starting quarterback Blake Bortles very soon.
Foles’ new deal is worth $88 million over the course of four years, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. In addition, $50.125 million of it will be guaranteed.
With a salary of roughly $22 million a year, this puts the veteran quarterback at No. 11 amongst quarterbacks in the league and No. 13 overall.
