Nick Diaz and Khamzat Chimaev have both offered to step in to face Leon Edwards in place of Jorge Masvidal at UFC 269.
Masvidal has been forced to withdraw from the welterweight bout in December after suffering an undisclosed injury during his training camp.
And now Edwards faces another anxious wait to see if he can find a replacement opponent to continue his 170lb surge.
But UFC welterweight stars Diaz and Chimaev have both now offered to step in to take on Edwards later this year.
Chimaev posted on Twitter: "Let’s go bro, we should do it Leon Edwards."

“Put me in,” Diaz replied to a post on Twitter from ESPN journalist Brett Okamoto that highlighted Chimaev’s call to face Edwards at UFC 269.
Edwards recently fought Diaz's brother Nate where he prevailed by decision after riding out a late stoppage scare.
And he is looking to continue his meteoric rise in the 170lb division where he is currently ranked in third position behind Gilbert Burns and Colby Covington.
Chimaev cemented his place in the top ten with a comfortable submission victory over Li Jingliang at the weekend.
And this further increased the hype around his burgeoning career, with many inside the sport believing the Swede is capable of reaching the pinnacle of the division.
The Swedish star is keen to take one more fight before the end of 2021, and could attempt to push to the front of the queue to face Edwards in a bid to shoot up the rankings.
Diaz, meanwhile, made his long-awaited return to action for the first time since 2015, losing to previous foe Robbie Lawler by stoppage.
And as he enters the twilight years of his illustrious career, Diaz will be looking for the biggest challenges available to try and make a late charge.

Edwards was left frustrated by Masvidal's withdrawal and labelled the American a "fraud" on social media.
And he has focused his sights on to a world title shot against Kamaru Usman after his latest outing was postponed.
"Disappointed but honestly I knew this fraud didn't want to fight me anyway," Edwards wrote on Twitter.
"He was just a stop off on the way to the title. The goal remains the same. Much needed family time now, Kamaru Usman I will see you soon."
Usman could be available for a bout with Edwards next year after dismissing bitter rival Covington in a hotly-contested rematch at UFC 268.
The Nigerian was victorious despite a late rally from Covington who caused the champion problems in a similar fashion to their first meeting in 2019.
