Nick Cordero’s widow tears into Donald Trump over 'disgraceful' coronavirus comments

Nick Cordero’s widow has torn into President Donald Trump after his “disgraceful” and “bragging” comments after he contracted coronavirus.

The US President faced international refute when he returned to the White House days after testing positive for the deadly virus.

He stunned viewers as he removed his mask to address American citizens and urged people not to fear the disease - that has killed more than 209,000 people in the country so far.

"Don't let it dominate you. Don't be afraid of it," Trump said after his return from the Walter Reed Medical Center military hospital outside Washington where he was treated.

"I'm better, and maybe I'm immune - I don't know," he added, flanked by American flags and with the Washington Monument in the background. "Get out there. Be careful."

Trump, who was treated by an army of doctors and received experimental treatment, has repeatedly played down a disease that has killed more than 1 million people worldwide and left his own country with the highest death toll in the world.

Following his astonishing statements, Amanda Kloots, the former actress who chronicled her late husband Nick Cordero’s painful demise from COVID-19, has slammed Trump.

His wife told fans of his numerous setbacks and health crisis as he spent his final months on a ventilator during frequent heartbreaking Instagram updates before he lost his life.

Amanda Kloots tore into the US president, posting an Instagram message that read: “To all the over 208,000 Americans who lost loved ones to this virus – I stand by you, with you, holding your hand.

“Unfortunately it did dominate our lives didn’t it? It dominated Nick’s family’s lives and my family’s lives. I guess we “let it” – like it was our choice??

“Unfortunately not everyone is lucky enough to spend two days in the hospital. I cried next to my husband for 95 days watching what COVID did to the person I love.

“It IS something to be afraid of. After you see the person you love the most die from this disease you would never say what this tweet says.

“There is no empathy to all the lives lost. He is bragging instead.

“It is sad. It is hurtful. It is disgraceful.”

Amanda’s comments were echoed by many other who lost loved ones to the coronavirus, including Hollywood stars such as Zach Braff, a close friend of Cordero’s.
