Nick Chubb worried about ‘just one person messing it up for everybody’

Nick Chubb is not scared. The Browns Pro Bowl running back made that clear in his Zoom teleconference with reporters on Tuesday. But that doesn’t mean Chubb isn’t fearful that something bad will happen to the Browns on the COVID-19 front.

“My biggest concern is just one person messing it up for everybody,” Chubb responded when asked about his thoughts on the pandemic. “If one person gets sick, if somebody somehow gets on the field around a lot more guys, he can spread it through that. We have tests every morning so I think that wouldn’t happen anyway, but if somehow some guy slipped past the test and all that, then that would worry me.”

The Browns had five players opt out due to COVID-19 concerns, including three offensive guards. Cleveland has also had several players on the reserve/COVID-19 list, though all have since been activated.
