Nick Chubb, Sony Michel team up to host youth football camp in South Georgia

Nick Chubb and Sony Michel, two of the most talented Georgia running backs in school history and possibly the greatest duo of all time, teamed up to put on a camp for the youth last weekend back in the Peach State.

Though separated during the NFL season in Cleveland and New England, the former roommates at Georgia enjoy giving back to the community in the offseason through teaching youngsters the game of football.

On Thursday and Friday, Chubb and Michel hung out with some campers including Harlem Diamond, one of Nick’s cousins.

Diamond is a rising freshman at Cedartown High School in Rome, Georgia, the same school Chubb went to just a few years ago.

After hanging out with Diamond, the two 2018 draft picks played a round of touch football with campers, even offering some praise to young Claire Stanford for her receiving skills against the boys.

For those of you that don’t know Stanford, she is a rising 3rd-grader at Welch Elementary School in Newnan, Georgia and one of the biggest Bulldog fans in the land.

If you have not heard about her infamous feud with her second-grade teacher last year who happened to be an Alabama fan, you are certainly missing out.

Stanford playfully fought with her teacher all year long to try and win bragging rights in the classroom, duking it out for the last laugh.

It’s great to see two beloved Bulldogs giving back to their community and teaching the youngsters how to play the game.

We always love to see former Georgia players hosting camps in the offseason of their grueling football careers.
