Nick Cannon admits ex-wife Mariah Carey is still mad at him for breaking her rules

Nick Cannon has confessed that his ex-wife Mariah Carey is "still mad" at him for giving their kids mobile phones.

The duo were married between 2008-2016 and share 10-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe.

But Nick, who has seven kids in total, said the singer wasn't happy with his choice of gift for their birthday in April.

In the What's Poppin?!? segment of the next episode of his talk show, which airs on October 11, Nick explained that the former couple had previously agreed that the youngsters would be old enough to have their own mobile phones when they turned 10.

However, when the time came, the Hero singer, 52, had doubts.

In the clip, he tells the audience: "My oldest twins Roc and Roe wanted a cell phone at 8. I was all for it but Mariah was like, 'Uh huh...they ain't going to be Googling us, learning about all their new brothers and sisters, no we ain't playing'."

The presenter continued: "I respected it at 8 but then we made a deal and said at 10 then they can have it, [but] Mariah still said no. So at 10, I snuck and I still got them the cell phones for their birthday."

He explained how on the day of the party, everything was going brilliantly until it came to opening the presents.

"We had this amazing party with jump jumps," he said. "Their friends came, it was so amazing. Then [when] it was time to open the gifts, I was like 'I'm going to leave these right here and tell your mama I'll be back.' Mariah is still mad at me till this day."

He kept apologising down the camera to his ex wife in the hope that she'll forgive him.

As well as the twins, the former Wild 'N Out host has five other kids including another set of twins with Abby De La Rosa, The children, Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, were born on June 14.

Just over a week later he had a son called Zen with Alyssa Scott.

He hasn't ruled out the potential of having more children and said he will do "if it's God's will".

Despite his recent kids being born so close together, Nick is adamant that they weren't an accident and said that he's having the kids "on purpose".

He said on his Power 106 radio show last month: "There’s a lot of people that I could’ve gotten pregnant that I didn’t. The ones that got pregnant are the ones that were supposed to get pregnant."
