Nick Bosa tops Draft Wire’s final EDGE rankings

Even after making some moves during free agency, the Indianapolis Colts could be in line to add some young talent to the defensive end room.

The addition of veteran Justin Houston should help aid the pass rush, but there is still a high chance the Colts will be turning to the 2019 NFL Draft as a way of continuing a rebuild of the unit.

Luke Easterling of Draft Wire released his final edge rusher rankings before the draft. Here’s a look at the top 10:

  1. Nick Bosa, Ohio State
  2. Josh Allen, Kentucky
  3. Brian Burns, Florida State
  4. Clelin Ferrell, Clemson
  5. Montez Sweat, Mississippi State
  6. Jachai Polite, Florida
  7. Chase Winovich, Michigan
  8. Jaylon Ferguson, Louisiana Tech
  9. Anthony Nelson, Iowa
  10. Oshane Ximines, Old Dominion

There is a chance the Colts wind up taking a player from this list. If Ferrell is available at No. 26, he could be a target for Indy. Burns and Sweat would be great additions as well, but it remains to be seen if they fall that far.

Winovich and Nelson are also solid Day 2 targets for the Colts as prospects that set a strong edge while having some upside as pass rushers.

It remains to be seen how heavily the Colts will invest in an edge rusher, but there is a chance they are targeting some of the top options.
