Nick Bosa carted off field with apparent significant knee injury

We like to bring you all the news and highlights in the NFL from former Ohio State players, and that, unfortunately, means even when there is some potentially bad news.

Former Buckeye and current San Francisco 49ers’ defensive end Nick Bosa has suffered what looks to be a significant knee injury and was carted off the field during Sunday’s action against the New York Jets.

It happened as Bosa was flowing back towards a running play late in the first quarter. He appeared to get tangled up in a block by the Jets’ offensive line and his knee seemed to buckle.

There is no word yet on how severe the injury is, but it doesn’t look good. Bosa tore the ACL in his right knee back in 2015 before he came to Ohio State.

As soon as we get any confirmation from the testing and evaluation of Bosa, we’ll have more on this. The chance of losing last season’s Defensive Rookie of the Year is obviously a potentially huge blow for San Francisco.
