Nicholas Lyndhurst's wife's tribute to son Archie as family mark 1 year since death

Nicholas Lyndhurst 's wife Lucy has remembered their son Archie, one year on from his tragic death.

Archie - who was the son of the Only Fools And Horses star - sadly passed away in September last year after suffering a brain haemorrhage at their family home.

At the time, Nicholas issued a heartbreaking statement, where he said him and Lucy were "utterly grief-stricken" by the news.

And in a new post on Instagram, Lucy paid tribute to her "magical boy" as she marked 12 months without him.

"It’s so hard to believe that it’s already been a week since we passed a year without you," she wrote.

"Thank you to everyone who came to show their love for our magical boy. Your friendship and kindness is beyond amazing and incredibly appreciated.

"To have to live without you is the biggest test of endurance we will ever face. We miss you every second of everyday."

Lucy went on to share how both she and Nicholas love their son with "every fibre of their being", as she explained how life threw the family "the cruelest card".

She continued: "Life threw us the cruelest card. Who would have thought that the silence in a home could be so deafening. We love you with every fibre of our being Archie. That will never change.

"And we are beyond grateful and honoured for every moment we had. Some people aren’t lucky enough to experience such love, but our days were filled with it from the moment we awoke to the moment we slept."

"We love you and miss you more than words could ever describe, the vocabulary simply doesn’t exist," she added.

"Thank you for choosing us. We hold on tight to every treasured memory, we are lucky, the list is endless. You are, and always will be, the most extraordinary human being I will ever have the privilege to know.

"Love you to the moon and back and beyond. Forever."

Lucy paid tribute to her son in a Mother's Day post earlier this year, where she said she would "forever" be in his debt.

She wrote: "I shall be forever in your debt. You teach me everyday to be a better person.

"Love you today, tomorrow and always. All my love your devoted Mama. XxX."
