Niamh McEvoy set for AFL debut alongside Sinead Goldrick this Friday

Dublin ladies All-Ireland winner Niamh McEvoy is in line to join her inter-county team-mate Sinead Goldrick on the Aussie Rules field for the first time this weekend after missing week one with illness.

Goldrick made her debut in the half-back line last week and put in an impressive showing for Melbourne FC in their win over North Melbourne.

And the Foxrock-Cabinteely woman retains her place in the Demons back six for this weekend's clash with the 2018 title-winners Western Bulldogs.

St Sylvester's star McEvoy has been named on the bench, taking Maddy Guerin's place in Melbourne's only change from their 22-20 opening weekend win.

The Bulldogs boast some Irish competition for the Dublin pair as well, as Tipperary's Aisling McCarthy and Donegal's Katy Herron will line up on the opposing side.
