Niall Horan said he is up for a One Direction reunion, but only if "everyone wanted to do it" saying he doesn't want to force anyone into it.
The Mullingar-born singer came to fame alongside Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik in the boy band which formed on The X Factor in 2010.
But after going on to becoming global superstars, selling more than 50 million records around the world, the band went on an indefinite hiatus shortly after Malik quit the band in March 2015.
Asked if he thinks the band will ever get back together, the 27-year-old said: "I don't know… no-one really talks about it. Still talk to them all the time.
“There’s a couple of little babies from them lads. Everyone’s having their own success on their own. I’m enjoying what I’m doing."
Appearing on The Jonathan Ross Show on ITV, the This Town hitmaker added that he has one condition of getting the boys back together again.
"Of course, if everyone wanted to do it, I'd be down for it…,” the songwriter said.
“You kind of need to all get in the same room and have the chat, but I don’t know when that would be.
"Having the same opinion is always going to be hard. Unless everyone was completely in, I wouldn’t want to do it. I wouldn’t want to half-force someone into doing it."
Jonathan also asked the star whether he's a godfather to any of the One Direction boys' babies.
He said: "Would have liked to have been. Maybe the next one."
Former bandmate Liam shares son Bear with ex-partner Cheryl Cole, Zayn Malik shares daughter Khai with girlfriend Gigi Hadid and Louis has son Freddie with former girlfriend Briana Jungwirth.

The Irish singer is on the show on Saturday alongside Anne-Marie, where they will perform their new single Our Song.
