Niall Horan in disbelief as new album 'Heartbreak Weather' rockets to top of iTunes charts worldwide

Niall Horan's new album 'Heartbreak Weather' dropped today and is already rocketing to the top of iTunes charts worldwide.

The Mullingar man had been promoting the album on the Late Late Show with James Corden all week before it officially released at midnight.

And the album has already surged to the number one spot on iTunes in countries across the world including here in Ireland and the US.

Replying to the news on Twitter Niall simply said "F***", clearly delighted with the results."

Speaking ahead of the release this morning, the former One Direction star said: "I had so much fun and a lot of hard moments writing this album and I’m very proud of the record as a body of work. Now it's yours.

"Dance, laugh, cry, take the lyrics in, do whatever makes you feel it. Love you all."

Niall has been poking fun at the fact he is releasing his album during a global pandemic.

He tweeted on Thursday: "Surely as far as 'difficult second albums' go, I've smashed it with my timing."

The new album includes 14 tracks including previous releases "Put a Little Love on Me" and "No Judgement" as well as plenty of never heard before songs like "New Angel".
