Ireland’s finest, Niall Horan, has teased an Aussie Tour alongside the release of his fourth studio album, Dinner Party, which details a series of stories, from how he met his partner, Amelia Woolley, and an unforgettable fan tweet.
If you were chronically online during the 2010s, you would know that Niall Horan, alongside his One Direction bandmates Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and the late Liam Payne, dominated the timelines.
But since announcing their indefinite hiatus — which came after Zayn left the band — each member has focused on their solo careers.
10 years after releasing his debut solo song, “This Town”, Niall is now rolling on to his fourth studio album, Dinner Party.
The 12-track album is jam-packed with storytelling. In fact, the album’s title track, “Dinner Party”, details the story of how Niall first met Amelia. The couple has reportedly been dating since mid-2020.
“We literally met at a dinner party, and we’re still together,” Niall smiled.
“It’s kind of like one of those — to me — once-in-a-lifetime things that you never expected to come in, and it hits you. You don’t realise, you’re not looking for it at the time. Where you’re not particularly looking… and then all of a sudden just something like that happens.”
Alongside his actual love life, the “Slow Hands” singer also revealed that a fan tweet also inspired the hook of “Flowers”.
“Just seeing a tweet online while we were writing the song, ‘Your eyes could grow flowers’, I thought was a great concept,” Niall shared.
“I just love the idea of someone being so powerful that they could do something so unrealistic.
“There are small, little things that they do every day that are nothing to them, minimal. But everything to everyone else… They’re just so powerful with the small ways they move, their little isms, and it does a lot for people. So, I just thought it was like a really cool way of describing someone.”
It’s truly, truuuuly, a massive honour. But unfortunately, he’s yet to track down the fan who made the post. So, I guess we’ll be typing up ‘wanted’ posters across the forums, sites and everything in between.
Is Niall Horan coming to Australia in 2027?
Towards the end of our chat, we decided to shoot our shot and ask the lad for a cheeky Nandos for when he’s Down Under next. While agreeing to the deal, he also let it slip that he will be coming to Australia in early 2027.
“Absolutely. I’m coming to Australia in early Jan or early next year,” Niall dished.
“I’ll be able to see you. Tell your friends I’ll be releasing dates soon, okay?”
