Starting school is an incredibly daunting experience for kids, but equally for parents.
Waving their baby off as they take their first steps into the world of education is an emotional moment.
But one Co Armagh primary school thought of a heartwarming way to make that first day a little easier for the poor mums and dads who perhaps shed a tear after dropping their little one off.
Parents leaving their children off to nursery at St Brendan's PS in Craigavon yesterday morning were handed a little sealed paper bag as they left.
On the outside it read: "Dear Parent, here's a little gift from us to you! So when you get home today, take this tea bag and brew yourself a warm cup of tea. Sit down and enjoy a biscuit, and wipe away your tears.
"Then smile about this huge step your child has successfully taken today. You will be fine and most importantly your child is in very safe and loving hands. From all at St Brendan's Nursery."
Inside the little bag there was a teabag, a chocolate bar and a little poem from the teacher.
One parent who received the gift this morning said it was 'a beautiful gesture' from the school to think of the parents worrying at home about their little darlings.
