NI News: Ballymoney Road closed following serious crash

PSNI are at the scene of a serious road traffic collision in Co Antrim involving one vehicle.

Officers have closed the Ballybogey Road in Ballymoney following the crash on Friday morning, January 22.

Police Causeway Coast and Glens posted a statement asking motorists to see alternative routes.

It said: "The Ballybogey Road, Ballymoney is closed at its junctions with Frosses Road and Tullaghgore Road due to a serious one vehicle road traffic collision.

"Diversions are in place. Please seek alternative routes."

In Co Derry, motorists are advised that the Coleraine Road, between Garvagh and Coleraine, is also closed due to a road traffic collision.

A PSNI spokesperson added: "Please avoid the area and seek an alternative route for your journey."

Meanwhile, a reward of up to £5,000 has been offered for information regarding the arson attack at the Belfast Multi-Cultural Association last week.

The PSNI have issued a renewed appeal following the deliberately started fire at the property on Donegall Pass, South Belfast, on Thursday, January 14. The incident is being treated as a hate crime.

Police revisited the site last night (Thursday, January 21) where they stopped motorists and pedestrians as part of their investigations.

The arson attack sparked widespread condemnation across Northern Ireland, with First Minister Arlene Foster and Deputy First Minister Michelle O'Neill issuing a joint statement against it.
