NI League Cup final: Josh Carson hoping to end two years of frustration with big win

Josh Carson is hoping to end two years of frustration by helping Coleraine lift the BetMcLean League Cup.

Carson missed the Bannsiders' Irish Cup success of 2018 after being suspended for the win over Cliftonville.

He had to watch that game in the stands, but now he is ready to make amends in Saturday's League Cup decider against Crusaders.

"It is a huge game with two good teams going at it," Carson said.

"It will be great to be involved in it. I missed the Irish Cup final two years ago.

"There is a hunger burning in me now to go out and do well and hopefully lift one for myself, and the team.

"At Linfield the team lifted trophies, and Coleraine lifted the Irish Cup. So hopefully I am on the pitch in this one.

"To be out on the pitch will mean the world to me."
