NI Film & Television School are looking for 2020 applications

Having produced some of the best movies and TV in recent years, Northern Ireland has become recognised throughout the world for its fantastic filming history.

Now, the Northern Ireland Film & Television School have announced that they're accepting applications for the Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Creative Media Production for 2020/2021, beginning in September.

School leavers and mature career changers are being encouraged to apply.

The HNC is delivered by a teaching team consisting of industry professionals, using a blended learning approach that includes lectures, studio workshops, industry speakers and production residentials.

The course is delivered over 2 full days a week at the award-winning Film School based at SERC’s Bangor Campus, meaning that students who are balancing home and work life commitments can balance the course alongside their studios. Northern Ireland Screen have also indicated that most applicants are eligible for full funding.

Previous graduates of the NI Film and Television School have gone on to kickstart their career in junior roles within the film industry, including working as runners and train camera and production assistants.

NIFTS graduates can now be found working in the film and television industry across the UK.

Students of the NI Film and Television School will be based in the based at SERC’s Bangor Campus.

For further course info, please contact the course coordinator (Alison Thompson) on althompson@serc.ac.uk or visit the Facebook page.
