Anyone aged over the age of 18 in Northern Ireland will now be able to get their Covid-19 vaccine without booking an appointment.

The SSE Arena vaccine centre will open its doors to walk-ins from tomorrow, Sunday, June 27 on a first come first serve basis.

The public can still book online if they prefer to guarantee a time slot.

Announcing the news, a spokesperson for the South Eastern Trust posted on Facebook: "For the first time, tomorrow Sunday 27th June you can just walk into the COVID-19 Vaccination Centre, at the SSE Arena in Belfast WITHOUT an appointment for FIRST DOSE of PFIZER.

"It has never been easier to get the #JabDone. The doors will be open between 8.30am and 6pm . Appointments will be on a first come, first served basis.

"If you want a GUARANTEED time slot it is still possible to book online at https://covid-19.hscni.net/get-vaccinated/."

The Trust has stressed that the walk-in appointments are only for those who are receiving their first dose of the vaccine.

Those attending are asked to ensure they bring photographic ID.
