NI council elections 2023: Full list of elected councillors in Newry, Mourne and Down

Another election has come and gone in Northern Ireland, with final results for councils being announced across the region.

In Newry, Mourne and Down, a total of 41 councillors were elected in the 2023 count for the council's District Electoral Areas (DEA). On Friday, the count begun in the morning, and went on until 7am on Saturday - the count then resumed at around 9am.

And that wasn't all in terms of non-political drama - the council had a power cut as the final few councillors were due to be announced. A generator, extension lead, whiteboard and WIFI hotspot later, and the final announcements were made.
