NI Coronavirus cases breakdown as no deaths recorded for third consecutive day

Today the Department of Health has reported no further Covid-19 related deaths.

The much-welcomed news marks the third consecutive day that the Department has reported no new deaths from the virus.

The death toll in Northern Ireland has remained at 537 since Saturday June 6.

And in today's figures, the Department indicated that three more individuals have tested positive for the virus - bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Northern Ireland to 4,805.

These most recent cases were recorded in Belfast (1) and in Newry, Mourne and Down (2).

In terms of hospital admissions for Covid-19 related illness, there have been 7,535 to date.

And currently there 53 inpatients with confirmed Covid-19 across 18 hospitals in Northern Ireland.

1,391 individuals who have tested positive for the virus have been discharged from hospital care, the Department say.

On Monday, the Department reported that nine patients were in ICU with confirmed or suspected Coronavirus - today there are six.

Taking testing into consideration, since the beginning of the pandemic, 60,687 individuals across Northern Ireland have been tested for Covid-19.

702 individuals were tested between 10am on Monday and 10am this morning.
