A casting call has been launched for young performers to take part in Matilda JR in Belfast in the New Year.
Those aged 11 to 18 are asked to come forward for the musical which will be staged in The Downstairs Theatre in the MAC.
Professional Dancer Ksenia Zsikhotska from RTE’s Dancing with the Stars has teamed up with Just Stage It Academy (JSI) to train aspiring young performers in the production.
JSI is an International Award winning school of performing Arts.
A spokesperson said: "JSI strives to give children from across Northern Ireland opportunities that no other local stage school offers. Pupils at the academy have performed in London’s West End, Broadway in New York, and Disneyland Paris.
"The academy have performed at the launch of Europe’s Musical Theatre International event in The Leicester Curve theatre and pupils regularly have the opportunity to take part in workshops with both West End and Broadway professionals. JSI is looking forward to work alongside Ksenia Zsikhotska who has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the performing Arts Industry.
"We will be holding two days of audition workshops with Ksenia for this project on Sunday the 23rd and Sunday 30th of January 2022 at the MAC Theatre."
