NI casting call for role of Tiny Tim in forthcoming Grand Opera House production

Budding young male actors across Northern Ireland are being urged to audition for a role in the Charles Dickens' classic 'A Christmas Carol' at the newly restored Grand Opera House.

Belfast Operatic Company are on the lookout for Tiny Tim for their upcoming production and say they are 'delighted' to be bringing Disney composer Alan Menken’s music to life in this festive, family friendly show from 16th to 20th November 2021.

The company are offering an opportunity for boys to audition for the role of Tiny Tim in this production – they are looking for a little boy with a big voice!

Tiny Tim may be small in stature, but is very endearing and delivers one of the key moments of the show, declaring ‘God bless us, everyone!’ The playing age of the character is between four and seven, and the young actor will be required to use a cockney accent.

Initial auditions will take the form of an online video submission, to be submitted by Sunday 9th May 2021, from which the production team will shortlist a number of candidates.

If it sounds like your child could be BOC’s Tiny Tim, you can find out more details and sign up for an audition via the link here.

For further information, the company can also be contacted at secretary@belfastoperatic.co.uk.
